Iβm going to talk about myself for a minuteβ¦
Everyone needs a hype girl on their wedding day, someone to dance with you on the dance floor (although I always seem to get adopted by mums on the dace floor which I love). Someone to reassure you when youβve got some last minute nerves. Someone to buy you a tequila rose shot before your speech!
I want you to feel like Iβm an old friend, someone you can relax around and be yourselves. So the best way to achieve that is to tell you some bits about myself and how I got here.
I have 12 years of experience in the wedding industry, itβs safe to say Iβve photographed every weather, tonnes of different venues with different lighting, and challenges. Weddings with just the coupleβ¦to weddings with 200+ guests. Iβve seen it all. Although please see that as a challenge to throw something different at me.
My style is based on prompted photography, with a small mix of posed, curated portraits.
Prompts bring unique reactions between couples from romance to laughter, allowing me to capture real emotions, rather than a smile that isnβt totally genuine.
I know youβll be happy and smiling on your wedding day, but thereβs a huge difference to having a natural smile on your face rather than one βjust for the cameraβ. Weddings are emotive events and I want to ensure you live in the moment. Although I have a more relaxed approach to weddings for the most part, I study my backdrops thoroughly and ensure things are perfectly placed particularly during couple portraits and group shots. Itβs vital that this part of the day is somewhat controlled, curated, and finding the right light and backdrop is essential. There is typically a traditional element to family/friend group shots unless you decide you donβt really want to do them then thatβs entirely up to you!
What makes me different from other photographers, is that Iβm not afraid to interact with your guests. I donβt stand 50 feet away with a long lens. I use shorter focal lengths to give visceral and emotive portraits. I want your guests to feel comfortable with me, and Iβve found that the only way to truly have a group of people youβve never met before to be comfortable around youβ¦is to introduce yourself and be in the moment WITH them. I want people to look back on their wedding gallery and feel like theyβre stood right there, not looking in from the outside.
I more than most, understand that not everyone likes their picture taken, however nearly every couple Iβve ever worked with has said theyβre camera shy and guess whatβ¦They absolutely smash it on the day, and even relax enough to throw in some romantic poses like a dip kiss or a dress twirl. Iβll never put you in a position that you feel awkward in!
We chat about all of these things leading up to the wedding and in your wedding questionnaire, so that I can tailor your couples session to the two of you.
Itβs all about being comfortable, getting on with your photographer, and having that guidance to relax and be yourselves.

More about my style
A Little more about who youβre booking!
Growing up I was obsessed with wildlife, and wanted to be a National Geographic filmmaker would you believeβ¦My love of wildlife, exploring and photography combined has taken me all over the world. From the Amazon rainforest, deserts, jungles in Thailand, watching orca in Alaska, to the northern lights in Iceland and Norway. I love it all. Travel is a huge part of my life and the only continent Iβm left to visit is Antarctica. Winter is typically my time to escape the crazy season of weddings and youβll often see me winding down in January, ready to hop on a plane to somewhere warm.
Iβm just a bubbly, happy girlie that loves a good party. Iβm terrible at dancing. Iβm so grateful to have the job I do, and itβs such a huge part of my life and my personality itβs difficult for me to just not write about weddings and taking my camera everywhere I go.
I love wildlife, exploring new places, rewatching old episodes of The Simpsons, putting on 2 hour 90βs playlists to sing in my car obnoxiously loud, buying too many blankets and candles from TX Maxx, and my Monstera is the only plant Iβve not killed.
Iβm a professional hype girl, and Iβve made some of the most fantastic long term friends doing this job. Itβs not just a job to me, itβs capturing the most special day of a couples life and being able to make them feel comfortable and relaxed.
PS: I will also bring snacks.
3 Reasons why I love Wedding Photography
My EPIC couples!
I know itβs clichΓ©. But you guys honestly keep my love for this job so strong.
Itβs an amazing feeling transforming a couples mind set from being camera shy, to loving that experience of being in front of a camera, and truly relaxing and enjoying themselves.
Having creative freedom
I will do whatever it takes to get the shot.
Having creative freedom on the day means I never get bored. Iβm always thinking of new ideas, spotting a beautiful patch of light and getting excited over my brain seeing the final product before Iβve even shot it, running over and grabbing you both for a quick 5 minutes if the sun has that golden glow in the evening. Things like this keep photographers on their toes, and Iβm always looking for that perfect opportunity. Thereβs always some photography cogs spinning in my brain no matter where I am.
The in-between moments
I get to capture the most important day for you, and that feeling never changes. We often take things for granted, even though I see countless weddings per year, I never forget that these moments mean the world to you. Seeing granddad in a suit for the first time in yearsβ¦Mum drinking champers from the bottle on the dance floor. These moments are the ones we come back to time and time again.
