Hi, I’m Xanthe

Hey there! Thanks for being here. I'm Xanthe (Pronounced Zan-thee), and I've never found anything with my name on it in a gift shop. Thanks mum and dad.

I am an award winning wedding photographer based near Bristol, covering weddings across the whole of the UK. Over the years, I have developed my signature style which allows me to come to every wedding, confident and full of creativity.

My wedding photography style is warm, atmospheric, and most importantly, relaxed. My aim is to photograph your day as naturally as possible whilst blending in and having a laugh with everyone. The goal for me is for not just you both to feel comfortable, but your guests too!

You wont be dragged away from your friends and family for hours for awkward cheesy poses. That’s definitely not my style! However, it is important to get those wow shots of the two of you, so if we get a fab sunset, you bet you’ll see me running (or at least a fast walk) towards you for some gorgeous golden hour portraits. OR if the wet stuff happens to make an appearance on the day, I’m the girl that will grab a brolly and get stuck in. The key to amazing wedding photos is feeling comfortable around your photographer, and putting your trust in someone to capture all of the in-between moments as well as the ones to print and put on your walls.

So many of our friends and family have commented how brilliant you were and how you really felt like part of our day. Sam's dad was particularly full of praise for you and the way you blended in completely unobtrusively. People have said again and again how no one ever felt like they were having their picture taken, or felt awkward in front of the camera as some of us can. Our formal shots and sparklers didn't feel like 'photo opportunities' or a task to get out of the way but rather a pleasant and enjoyable part of our day.

Before the wedding planning, Sam and I were dreading having 'couple' photos taken to be honest, as the stereotypical ones are just so not us - particularly in front of a camera! But we can both truly say that we really enjoyed that time together after our wedding and - in the nicest possible way - it didn't feel like you were there at all! But what you did give us, with your gentle direction and amazing ideas, was a set of photos that feel so 'us' and in which you've captured how happy we were in that moment. We absolutely love the whole wedding album.
